K. Mockingbird: Guestbook

Rhett Allen Schultz

August 21, 2008

WOW what a performance you gave. I went to see Shakespeare at the lake last night [08/20/2008] and was totally engulfed and overtaken by your sounds. I especially liked the end of the show where you played and the other Native American spoke in his native tongue. But that is not even the best part. As I was sitting there enjoying your music something came over me and I started to here sounds I have never allowed myself to hear before. I stated seeing things I have never allowed myself to see before and it was almost like I was having a [for lack of a better adjective] spiritual experiences in a sense. I mean I am a regular Joe shmo that is about as heterosexual as they come and I found myself at the edge of my seat listing to every note that came from you. I saw the trees swaying and bending almost as if they were dancing to your sounds and the wind and air around me….well what can I say. I mean, I can’t even recall ever speaking about the wind and the air around me ever before in my life and here I am speaking of it now. Anyway, I just wanted to say that your music was greatly appreciated and rest assured that this young [at heart] man will be buying all of your CD’s and making sure that everyone around me hears it while the top of my convertibles are down and when someone asks “ what is that awesome sound” rest assured that I will have no problem letting them know who Mr. Mockingbird is. Thank you for letting me hear your magnificent sounds.

Sincerely,

Rhett Allen Schultz

I was deeply moved by your incredible artistry with the flute during A Midsummer Night's Dream. Your music, along with Art's prayers, at the end of the performance brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.

"Sacred Fire," unbeleivable CD, everyone should have this CD in their house. The very best CD in the world. I really mean that; we have personally played his CD about a thousand times, it is our favorite CD. Kelvin knows what good music is; and we were lucky enough to personally meet him in Sedona (what a very nice (MAN). Thank you Kelvin for the beautiful music and THANK YOU for being a normal person. Love your music, play it evey single day. Keep the music coming over and over.

Hello Kelvin! I discovered your music when in Bryce Canyon, UT. Your CD spoke to me more than the others so I purchased it and now listen to it every day. I play the native flute too (not as good as you!). No one around me in North Carolina plays or knows native music. Wish I could see you play out east somewhere. I am alone with my music, but that's OK, it makes me feel happy! Keep the music coming, Dawn

Hello Kelvin!
It's been a long time, you probably don't remember but you gave me a ride from California to Winslow along with your friend Robert Barton way back in 95'. We listened to Alice in Chains most of the way. I see your still doing well and playing that amazing flute! Good to see you (in pix) but still good! Take care Kelvin!

Hi Kelvin
I visited Sedona for the first time on the 25th of August. I heard your music in one of the little shops and loved it, I shopped around several more shops and then saw you outside one of them. You were just packing up as I came by. You were so kind to let me see your cd's and I recognized "Sacred Fire" as the one I had heard in one of the shops I was in. I bought it and you signed it for me. I think it is such beautiful music. It is so calming and peaceful. Good music to listen to when I am studying. Thank you for your gift of peace and harmony. Sincerely, Robin

I have enjoyed your website as I have your album, Sacred Fire.... you signed it for me in Sedona about two weeks ago.... thank you!...

If I could put together your flute and the Canyon de Chelly, with the nicker of a pony echoing down the canyon, and one of the kingbirds singing, I think I could say I found a place of magic....*smile*... you are favored here....I am so glad I saw you in person, performing 'for real' there, that day.....

Kelvin, your such an inspiration. I began playing the Native American flute about a year ago, but haven't played much recently. Hearing you play in Sedona has reignited my desire to continue. Your music is incredibly deep, mystical, and evocative. I wish you all the prosperity and blessings that the Creator has for you. You have a beautiful and wonderful gift that moves hearts, heals, and strengthens the fibers within us.

Hello Kelvin,
Thank you for shaing your beautiful music. I was honored to hear it in Sedona just this last Monday. Sedona has such a healing peace so my husband had brought me there to heal from my brother's recent passing. We heard you playing in the square and I had asked you about playing the flute. You wrote this website down for me. You were so kind to take the time to answer my questions and I now have a flute to enjoy playing.
I do hope that everything went well with your Grandmother's life celebration that you had mentioned. I look forward to hearing more of your beautiful music through your recordings. Thank you!

you played hypnotically under the

I bought one of your CDS...
We listened to your Haunting
Melodies for hours, that evening,
as we Relaxed in the comfort of
the Amara Inn...
I had a Beautiful Birthday!
Thank You! and I will continue
To Tell all my friends about you!
What a Gift, Great Father has
Bestowed on you...
